William P. (Will) Walker, III has joined the firm of Walker & Morgan, LLC in Lexington, SC as an attorney focusing on serious and complex personal injury cases. These cases involve catastrophic injuries resulting from burns due to propane and natural gas, electricity, thermal and scald burns, fires and explosions, industrial accidents and defective products. In addition, litigation involving an array of other events including automobile accident injury claims and products liability.
The son of founding partner, Billy Walker, whether it was as a runner during high school summers, a research and office assistant during college, or as a law clerk during law school, Will Walker has been involved at Walker & Morgan, LLC in one capacity or another throughout his life.
Will graduated from Hammond School and attended The University of North Carolina-Asheville where he graduated with a B. A. in Literature in 2005 and was the recipient of a Departmental Distinction Award. He earned his Juris Doctor from The University of South Carolina School of Law in May 2009 and received his license to practice law in South Carolina in November 2009. During law school Will received a clerkship with Girard Gibbs LLP in San Francisco, CA working in the areas of consumer class actions, securities, and complex business litigation.
Prior to joining the firm, Will was chosen for a Judicial Clerkship with The Honorable L. Casey Manning, Circuit Court Judge of the Fifth Judicial Circuit. While serving as Judge Manning’s Law Clerk, Will assisted Judge Manning from the bench during numerous trials and other court proceedings of varying types, criminal and civil. He was able to establish relationships with members of the Bar and learned invaluable lessons that will serve him throughout his career in private practice.
