The Walker Morgan LLC law firm is excited to announce our first annual scholarship contest! Every year, we see hundreds of personal injury cases where people are hurt due to products malfunctioning, burns, car accidents, and many other painful things. We also know the financial burden that these kinds of injuries can place on a family. Medical fees, lost wages from work, court and fees and more can begin to pile up.

That being said, our team has decided to offer the Walker Morgan scholarship to one individual whose life has been affected by an injury either at a personal or family level. This is our way of helping students with the rising costs of education as well as helping families who have been physically, emotionally, and financially hurt by the negligence of others.

For this year’s contest, we want to know how you or a loved one was affected by an injury. What happened? How has it affected your family from different standpoints? What have you done to cope and to help ensure injuries like that are prevented in the future?

The scholarship is for $2,500 and is open to any and all students who meet the following requirements:

  • Will have graduated high school on or before July 1, 2018
  • Has a minimum GPA of 2.5
  • Will be attending college for the 2018 Fall Semester

To apply for the scholarship, you simply have to:

  1. Fill out the application form
  2. Answer the question about how you or a family member has been affected by a personal injury
  3. Attach a resume and any other documents you want to include

Judging for this scholarship will take into account three factors:

  1. Academic achievements.
  2. Achievements outside of school.
  3. Your written response to the question.

While not required, we strongly recommend attaching your resume and letter of recommendation to the application.

The application deadline is May 31st, 2018, and the winner will be announced on or before July 31st, 2018.

We would like to thank everyone in advance for their applications and participation in this great opportunity. We wish you all the best of luck! Have a great school year!
